Ronal Thomas Bell, age 78, entered into the arms of Jesus on July 9, 2019, after fighting a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Ron was born and raised in Pottstown, PA; moved to Michigan in 1980, and lived in the Caledonia area. He worked at Spartan Stores for 25 years and later for the US Postal Service in Caledonia. Ron served as chairman of the congregation at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Kentwood, MI, for several years, and was on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Food Bank. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Crystal Springs Country Club and the Home Owners Association. He enjoyed golfing, reading, boating, movies with friends, and loved his baseball. Ron was an avid hunter and loved teaching his grandsons how to hunt and really enjoyed watching his grandchildren play their chosen sports. His mother and step-father, Lillian Bell and Edward Bartholomew, father and step-mother, William and Maralyn Bell, and In-laws, Andrew and Betty "Nan" Cihiy, preceded him in death. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dolores; children, Renee (Vincent) Cicchino, Kimberly (Thomas) Bazen, Lori Brile; ten grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; half sisters, Martha Bell (James) Small, Judy Bell (Ray) Pearson; half brother, Ben Bell; special aunt, Christine Griswold; and other extended family. The family will greet visitors on Friday, July 12, from 5 to 8 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street, SE. In accordance with Ron's wishes cremation has taken place. The family wishes to thank the staffs of SKLD on the Beltline, Faith Hospice, and Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods for all their help and special care they showed to Ron and the family. Contributions in memory of Ron can be made to Faith Hospice, Feeding America West Michigan, or Parkinson's Research Foundation.
