Paul W. Storm, age 80, of Caledonia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 17, 2019. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6. Paul worked in education all his life. He was a choir teacher, athletic director, high school principal, superintendent, guitar teacher, and minister of music. He was also active as a member of CBH, where he was known as "Mr. Paul" and was a member and music arranger for the Grand Rapids Accordion Ensemble. He enjoyed reading, was an avid sports fan, and loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Sherry; son, Ted; his parents, Leonard and Bessie; sister, Karen Kitler and her infant daughter, Renee; and his parents-in-law, Keith and Mildred Gift. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his children, Roger (Jerrie) Storm, Jane (Leonard) Smedley, Cindy Rousell, Pam (Bruce) Angell; grandchildren, Chantal (Brandy), Jessica, Heather (Matt), JonPaul, Becca, Chaz, Andrew (Sarah), Jason (Alicia), Whitney (Andy), Josh, Nikki, Matthew, Cody (Tabby), Sgt. Max (Leah), Austin; many great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Keith (Eva) Gift, Jr.; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 pm on Thursday, June 20, at Alaska Baptist Church, 7240 68th St. SE. A private family committal will be held at Alaska Cemetery. The Celebration of Life service will take place at 7:00 pm on Friday, June 21, at Alaska Baptist Church, with Rev. Brian F. Harrison officiating.
