HEYER, (BEATRICE) JOYCE
10/27/1931 - 4/13/2019

On Saturday, April 13, 2019, Joyce Heyer (Koning) met her sweet friend, Jesus, in heaven. Joyce learned to love the Lord from her parents, Magdalena and Datus Koning; who immigrated from the Netherlands. She shared her humble faith with her beloved husband of 67 years, Roger; and their four children and their spouses, Daniel and Linda Heyer, Carol and Robert Bolt, Karen and Robert DeVries, and Gayle and Michael VanGessel. Joyce not only loved Jesus, but she loved her country, the Detroit Tigers, animals, a silly song, and anything her 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren were involved in. She was funny, kind, and underestimated. Joyce served her family, friends, and others with a self-effacing style that always pointed a beautifully (self) manicured finger towards Jesus. Come celebrate Joyce Heyer's life on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at LaGrave Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 107 LaGrave Ave., SE; staring with visitation at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am. Rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ! In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joyce can be made to Camp Sunshine Michigan (campsunshinemichigan.org).

to Dan and Carol and Bob,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences in the passing of your mom. I remember her too - when we were all a few years younger. A very kind woman.

May God bless you all with His comfort and Peace.
