Cody Alan Zwiers, age 32, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 21, 2019, surrounded by his family in Caledonia. He was Superintendent for Kent Companies and was a hard worker. He was an avid outdoorsman, and family man. Cody loved his wife, Ashly, and their two children, Scott and Haily. He loved weekends fishing on the Detroit River and hunting with his father. While growing up, Cody loved to play hockey and was very good at it. He loved to play "silly games' with his daughter, Haily, and was also his son, Scott's, baseball coach for a few years, and greatly enjoyed practicing with him. Cody will be dearly missed by his wife, Ashly; children, Scott and Haily; parents, Ken and Beth Zwiers; siblings, Sarah Miller, Nick (Carrie) Zwiers; parents-in-law, Kent and LuLu Bignall; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grand-parents, Dorothy and Richard Zwiers, Myrna and Edward Kwiet; and dear friend, Bill Kuykendall. The family will greet visitors on Sunday, February 24, from 2 - 5 pm at Stroo Funeral Home. As Cody wished, cremation will follow. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Community West Credit Union for the account "Wildfire Children's Education Fund" for Cody's children. Stroo Funeral Home, Inc.

I saw the obiturary in Sunday's paper and was unable to come to the visitation. Praying that God gives you comfort and strength.

I remember Cody in my morning Kindergarten class
(1992-1993). He was a sweet, caring young man with lots of friends. May God bring each of you strength, comfort, peace and fond memories.
