Uncle Sy could be very serious and very funny. He almost Always had a joke to share and could laugh heartily if you had a good one yourself. I read his biography in one sitting and am glad he took the time to tell his own Story. He will be sincerely missed.

Much love sent from the Texas folks that love the Voortman Family. I loved Uncle Sy. I remember his Buttermilk floats with dinner. He always took care to let me sit in the drivers seat of his New Mopar Product, telling me to tell my dad Van to get rid of that GM Bucket of Bolts. I am sure he has a Crown full of Gems in Glory and I look forward to seeing him again some glorious day. We will pray for Aunt Marty and the entire Voortman family for the Holy Spirit's Comfort and Strength. We love you dearly.
