Malcolm Franklin Hitchcock 

Memorial Service:  Will be held in Riceville, Tennesee 



 

Malcolm Franklin Hitchcock passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Melton) Hitchcock of Etowah, TN.  Along with his parents, his sister, Claudia Hitchcock, brother, Bennie Hitchcock, and sister-in-law, Shirley Arrington, also preceded him in death.  Malcolm was born in Etowah, TN and moved to Grand Rapids shortly after graduation from J. L. Cook High School in Athens, TN.  Malcolm attended Grand Rapids Junior College with a major in Engineering. He retired from Steelcase of Grand Rapids where he served as Executive Manager of the Desk Plant. Malcolm leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife, Linda Rodgers Hitchcock; beloved sons, Mark, Michael (Heather) Hitchcock, daughter, Marla (Steven) Cole. He is also survived by Linda’s children whom he loved dearly, Dana (Darryl) Lewis-Jackson, Kristy (Bryan) Webb, Heavenly (Marshon) Peoples; many grandchildren, who were loved; brothers, Harold Hitchcock of Grand Rapids, Johnnie and Paul Hitchcock of Etowah, TN; sisters, Alma (Robert) Davis of Louisville, TN, Sue (Robert) Jobe of Grand Rapids, MI and Ann (John) Boyd of Riceville, TN; mother-in-law, Lillian Suttles; brothers-in-law, Frank, Curtis, Robert and Larry Rodgers; sisters-in-law, Ernestine Long, Juanita and Bernice Rodgers; and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held in Riceville, TN.

My Deepest Sympathy to the Family. The loss of a loved one brings much grief and pain. But the Bible talks about doing away with this pain at Revelation 21:4. May God's love provide your family with peace, strength and comfort during this time of grief.
