Bobbie Lea Cheek (Chambers), age 86, of Kentwood, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017.  Born in West Alexandria, Ohio, Bobbie became a Pediatric Nurse. She loved to read, travel, craft, and go bowling, but her favorite times were spent with her family. She was always true to herself and honest with others, and grandma to all. Always loving and generous, we were blessed to have her as the heart and soul of our family. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 68 years, Eugene; her children, Robert (Shirley) Cheek, Linda Cheek, Steve Cheek, Randy Cheek; grandchildren, Tim Cheek, Jenny Cheek, Teresa (Brad) Robinson, Jeff Cheek, Adrien Robinson; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Rita (Bill) Hopper. The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, July 18, from 5 - 8 pm at Stroo Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, July 19, at Stroo Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Interment in Dutton Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Children's Miracle Network.

Dear Cheek family, I am so sorry to have read of the recent death of your loved one Bobbie. Please accept my most sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be very comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3-5. These verses tell us that soon Jehovah God through his son Christ Jesus is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones, as well as do away with all the causes we have for suffering including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my hope that these thoughts will likewise comfort your family also during this most difficult time in your lives. If you would like to read these Scriptures online for free or find more comforting thoughts, please visit jw.org Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss.
Sincerely, Trudy Nowell - Panama City Beach, FL
