Visitation:  Sunday from 3 - 4:30 pm at Stroo Funeral Home
Service: 11 am Monday, May 1, at Stroo Funeral Home

Memorials: Princeton CRC Building Fund, 5330 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, MI 49508

Hermina Drenth, age 92, of Kentwood, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, William Drenth; her son, Albert Drenth; and her sisters, Johanna Lewis and Cornelia Ravenhorst. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Drenth; grandson, Robb Haagsman and his wife, Emily Beaver; grandson, Brian Haagsman; brother, John Crum and his wife, Edna; sister, Helen Goemaat; and many nieces and nephews. Hermina was born in Iowa, spent most of her life in Hollandale, MN, and moved to Kentwood in her later years. She loved Jesus and enjoyed creation by growing beautiful flowers and watching birds and squirrels out her window. She enjoyed people, was an active member of her church, and joined Princeton CRC after moving to Michigan. Hermina was a hard worker and kept a "Dutch clean" house, but did find time to create beautiful needlework. She will be greatly missed. Special thanks to her friends at Princeton CRC and to Shandra, M.S.W., and Louise, RN from Spectrum Health Hospice. Your support was priceless. The family will greet visitors on Sunday, April 30, from 3 - 4:30 pm at Stroo Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, May 1 at Stroo Funeral Home, with Pastor Joy Bonnema officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Princeton CRC Building Fund.

Dear Elaine and family, Just having heard of your mother's passing my mind is full of memories of our times together. Our visit to their home in Michigan will remain vivid in my mind as my parents and I had such a wonderful time. They were so proud of their new home, city, you and your work. I know that you brought them much joy! My thoughts are with you. Perhaps I will see you when you are in Minnesota? God's peace to you and your family, Dione and Lyle
